I, excluding the period, I could not read it well at all. The very first part was very interesting but I lost interest in continuing to read this. Only in the second half or a little 'later I found a little' interest, just in time for the finale a bit 'unexpected.

"The piano teacher" published by Simon and Schuster, is the debut novel by Janice but However a good start.
The style is nice but in a few steps you get lost, stretched too thin to boredom, perhaps because the excessive use of suspense. The plot is good.
The story takes place between 1942, where Will Trusdale arrives in Hong Kong and meets Trudy Liang, a beautiful woman who gives of himself in high society scandal, and while the passion between them broke out around them bursts the war, and 1952, where Claire Pendleton arrives in Hong Kong with her husband and gets a job as a teacher of piano at the Chen and becomes the mistress of the family of the driver, that is Will the same Truesdale.
