Review of "The Book of Time - The Golden Circle" by Guillaume Prévost
I said I did not know when I'd come back and write a review but just to distract from my mother I finished the book and now I write this review the latest book in the saga of "The Book of Time" by Guillaume.
Sam has managed to bring his father in the present, but the condition remains very serious Allan. Sam has no choice but to leave and find a final, extreme solution. First you must accept the challenge of his arch enemy, the tattooed, and to address other travel and new dangers: from the legendary Chinese Emperor Qin besieged the city of Rome by the troops of Charles V. will then be able to find a way to change the course of time. But is it really possible to recover the past and hope to see again one day his mother? And if so, at what price?
This is what is written behind the book. I would not hire him because I was afraid of revealing too much. The first two I liked a lot but I must say that I was a bit 'bored to read this, maybe because I wanted to know right away the ending. At the beginning, the end of the book left me with a bitter taste. I was expecting an epic finale and less confusing. Thinking, then, I realized that was the only possible final Sam without looking obvious. Perhaps it is written in a somewhat 'confused and simplistic, with too slow a pace, but thinking it was the only way to end it.
Now put the stars to books, from 1 to 5. The series deserves full 5 stars but this book in particular, deserves only 4 stars .
