E 'Sam's birthday but just can not enjoy the day because they are ten days that his father is gone. Of course, it is normal that her father would disappear for a while 'for days without warning, but never for so long! After the death of his mother, Sam lives with his grandparents while his father lives on Library that opened in a neighborhood not too well received. On that day, he decides to go look in home a few traces of his father but can not find anything belonging to a strange call on the answering machine and a hidden room in the basement. It is in this room that started it all: in one corner is a strange stone carved with a sun above where you can insert a coin with holes found nearby. Sam just insert the coin in the sun, I'll catapulted back in time! First on the island of Joda, England, in the midst of a community of monks who are struggling with the Viking invasion, then during the First World War in Ancient Egypt and then, after a stop at home in his time on the road again in 1400 in Belgium. Because now Sam is certain that his father has been trapped in time and, to be exact, a prisoner of Count Vlad Tepes, known by historians as Vlad the Impaler but known by the masses because it has inspired Bram Stoker's Dracula!
